1. Material: Ductile iron QT 450-10
The valve body, valve cover, gate plate, handwheel, and valve stem cap are all made of ductile iron, offering high strength and corrosion resistance.
2. Three O-rings
The lower O-ring isolates the wear zone of the thrust ring from the water passage area of the valve body. The two upper O-rings can be replaced during the valve's pressurized operation.
3. Stainless steel valve stem, copper thrust ring, and copper gate nut
The valve stems, thrust rings, and gate nuts designed by Mike Valve have demonstrated superior strength, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance through extensive long-term use and testing.
4. Epoxy resin powder spraying
Both the inner and outer surfaces of the valve are coated with epoxy resin powder spray, complying with the ANSI AWWAC 550 standard, ensuring reliable corrosion resistance through 51,000 valve seat cycle life tests.
Under a full-on/off test cycle not exceeding 6 times per minute, the gate valve seat can withstand 1,000 opening and closing cycles.
